Welcome to Teaching Reiki

Home

In 2011, Robert Fueston founded The Reiki Preservation Society with the vision of providing a dedicated space for students to easily connect with traditional Reiki Master/Teachers. His aim was to create a central hub for those continuing the teachings of Hawayo K. Takata in the style of Usui Shiki (Reiki) Ryoho. His standards for training are high, producing students who thoroughly learn the methods and embody the teachings of the system. Remaining faithful to traditional training methodologies and emphasizing in-depth understanding rather than surface-level knowledge is truly exceptional in the present-day context.

Over the years, The Reiki Preservation Society has flourished as a vibrant community for learners and masters alike. It serves not only as a space for education but also as a valuable resource and depository for information regarding Usui Shiki (Reiki) Ryoho.

Today, Teaching Reiki's website serves as the place for students to inquire about training or re-training in Robert's lineage. Robert prefers a low-tech lifestyle (as demonstrated by this website!) and remains offline as much as possible.

Training

Tailoring his approach to individual students, Robert primarily focuses on training new Reiki teachers and individuals from other lineages who aspire to teach within the Takata lineage. Depending on the student, he offers options such as an apprenticeship route, an intensive re-training route, or a combination of both. Taking into account the sincerity of the students, Robert occasionally extends his teachings to include new First and Second Degree students. This flexibility allows him to accommodate varying levels of dedication and interest.

Before submitting questions about training, please read Reiki: Transmissions of Light: The History and System of Usui Shiki Reiki Ryoho, Volume 1. As previously stated, his standards for training are high, demanding significant time and effort from both current and prospective students. Therefore, consider this your initial task: read the book before submitting any training requests.
