Reiki means Cosmic Life Force Energy. In this class, students will learn how to use this cosmic energy to help heal themselves and others. Reiki works to restore balance, promotes relaxation, and induces a sense of inner peace. Reiki can have a positive effect on your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well being.
The Reiki Preservation Society is devoted to maintaining the traditional teachings of Usui Shiki Reiki Ryoho.
Internationally known Reiki Master/Teacher Robert N. Fueston has been practicing and teaching the system of Reiki for over 20 years. Robert has literally written the book on the traditional system of Reiki!
The traditional First Degree teachings are in depth and students learn and receive:
- A permanent connection established with the Cosmic Life Force Energy (Reiki) by a series of four energy activations/initiations.
- Reiki self-treatments.
- How to perform Reiki treatments on others.
- The five Reiki precepts to effectively improve our life.
- The history of the Reiki system.
- And much more….
12 hours of classroom instruction and practice over a 2-4 day period.
* All First Degree classes are approved for 12 Continuing Education hours (CE hours) for Massage Therapist: NCBTMB Provider #451005-09
** Select First Degree classes are approved for 14.4 Contact Hours for Nurses by the Kentucky Board of Nursing: Provider #6-0025
We offer classes in two formats, intensives and multiple weekly training and practice meetings (Kenkyūkai).
Intensive format: Students are taught over a 2-4 day period for a total of approximately 12 hours of instruction. These classes are taught to both individuals and groups and are scheduled upon request . Use the contact form to let us know you are interested in taking the First Degree and we will set up a customized time that will fit your schedule. (Occasionally we have intensive classes listed at the bottom of this page you can register for.) Students previously trained by a certified TRPS Master/Teacher may audit scheduled classes for $50.
Training and practice meetings at The Reiki Preservation Society (Kenkyūkai): Students may attend our multiple weekly group training and practice meetings to learn the system of Reiki in a lengthier format. In this format the information is dispensed to the student over a longer period of time. This allows the student to assimilate the information while acquiring practice experience.
To be able to attend, you first must have a meeting with the president of The Reiki Preservation Society, Robert N. Fueston. During this initial meeting students will learn The Reiki Preservation Society’s protocols, pay the initial membership training fee ($150), and receive the first initiation. Afterwards, students may attend any of the multiple weekly gatherings.
Students may attend as few or as many meetings as they wish. Each meeting cost is $10. Everyone is welcome, both those with no prior Reiki training and those with Reiki training in any lineage or level. However, regardless of prior training, all students start at the beginning (Shoden) to maintain the integrity of the lineage and the system we teach. Reiju (Reiki Blessing) is received by students at every meeting to further their spiritual growth and to cleanse/strengthen their energy channels. The student’s Reiki ability increases through regular attendance of these meetings and their personal practices.
Meeting times each week (as of August, 2017) are:
Sundays: 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Tuesdays: 6:00p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
